I grew up in a small town in
Kentucky, way back in the
woods.  I got in trouble often
for constructing things that
I really should not have been
building without adult
supervision (or a permit).
I went on to study architecture
and design at the University
of Kentucky (Go Cats!) and
along with my degree I also
met my beautiful wife of
4+ years there.
After graduation, we moved to
the big city of Chicago to pursue
our dreams.  We now share a
little bungalow with our
faithful black Labrador and we
just welcomed a new baby into
our little world in August.
OTHER THINGS
Hi.  My name is Eric and I am a freelance
jack-of-all-trades designer.  I specialize in
residential architecture, but enjoy all types
of design challenges.
I pride myself on being an easy professional
to work with.  I’m fanatical about seeing
a great idea realized and I am always easily
accessible and ready to help.
For the last 6 years I have worked primarily as an architectural designer.  My major interests are
residential design and construction, but I also have experience in graphic and web design and digital
illustration. In 2006, I won a design award for the work I had completed for a new residence in the
Western suburbs of Chicago.
I currently work as a Lead Designer at EDE Corporation, a Chicago-based exhibit house, managing
the creative process and design team.  I am responsible for ensuring that all projects meet the client's
expectations, and in most cases exceeding them.  In addition, I stay busy running freelance residential
and web design projects. I love the creative process and easily my best creation so far is my son,
Noah (although I acknowledge I can only take partial credit.)
